This picture, taken in early winter, just before the Lake of Bays froze over, shows the view from the office - the boats are gone from the main dock and we are busy preparing our cross country ski trails in anticipation of winter’s fun! Snowmobile trails link to our property, and we also have a skating rink, right on the lake, the way skating was meant to be! Our toboggan hill provides lots of thrills too - or you can just relax inside by the fireplace, enjoying the view from your cottage window! While areas farther south cope with slush and drizzle, we can usually count on good snow conditions from Christmas through late March. Winter enthusiasts find lots of ways to use this snow, ending the day's activities in front of cosy fires in their private cottage. 15 km of well groomed cross-country ski trails begin right at your door, and in summer serve as hiking trails. Ski rentals are available nearby. For snowmobilers, we maintain a trail that links with hundreds of kms of OFSC maintained trails in the area. Downhill skiers are close to nearby centres. In summer, the main dock is always the focal point! There’s lots to do - from swimming, waterskiing, sailing and canoeing to just lounging in the sunshine! We have a wide variety of boats available, from paddleboats and canoes right up to ski-boats - and instruction is included for novices! - to help you enjoy Muskoka’s beautiful lakes! Summer Activities at Bondi Cottage Resort Most cottages have a small dock, and there is a
large main dock and two rafts for swimmers and water skiers. Windsurfers,
sailboats, canoes, boats, motors, gas and oil are available. We have launching
facilities and dock space for guests wishing to bring their own boats.
Fishermen try their skills against lake trout and bass. Other fish, such as
speckled trout, perch and sunfish also give good sport, while in winter

About Us There is much to do at Bondi Village Cottage Resort and in the surrounding area of Muskoka and nearby Haliburton Highlands. We are located just minutes from the village of Dwight, in Muskoka and offer a friendly, informal atmosphere suitable for families and couples in a natural environment. Our family has been here since 1905, and we are the third generation to own and operate Bondi Village. From our beginnings as a pioneer farm, Bondi has gradually transformed into one of Muskoka's premier housekeeping cottage resorts, with many unique features preserving our heritage. Snowmobilers can park their sleds right at the cottages - we link onto the Muskoka Ontario Snowmobile Region trails directly from Bondi Village Resort! We're never without a hill for sliding for the toboggan set - and snowbanks transform into wonderful snow forts for all ages! Clean, comfortable housekeeping cottages, with electric heat and fully equipped kitchens, let you enjoy it all. Thirteen cottages, electrically heated, ideally situated and appointed. Most with fireplaces, all with 3 or 4 piece bath, fully equipped kitchens including all necessary cutlery and utensils, electric range and refrigerator. Beds have spring mattresses, pillows and blankets. Linen is included on all cottage rentals. Rates include wood, electricity, water and garbage disposal. The Lodge This is our six bedroom self-catering unit. It’s ideal for groups of up to l6 people - perfect for small family reunions, or families vacationing together. The six bedrooms all have private baths; in addition to this spacious lounge, with its brick fireplace, there is also a large dining room, fully equipped kitchen, library with a piano, and downstairs, a small rec. room! A lot of our family history is on display in the Lodge, including photographs from productions of Gilbert & Sullivan operettas in England and Australia during the late l800’s! This is a non-smoking unit. Anchor Cottage A two bedroom cottage, located over our private boathouse, offers unparalleled views of Lake of Bays. Our extensive sandy beach ensures that there is always privacy, and this cottage is popular with everyone, from couples with small children right up to grandparents! Beaver Cottage The kitchen / living room of one of our three bedroom housekeeping cottages, “Beaver”, showing the wood burning fireplace. Our cottages are spacious, clean, fully equipped - just waiting for you. The flexibility of self-catering resorts releases you from timetables, freeing you to enjoy a barbeque at the cottage, a quick meal from the microwave, or a full family sit-down dinner - or you can go out to any of the myriad local restaurants - the choice is always yours! Cedars Cottage All of our self catering cottages face directly to Lake of Bays. Lawn chairs and picnic tables entice you outside to enjoy the best that nature has to offer here in Muskoka Ontario! We have barbeques available also, and guests can purchase fresh organic produce from our very own gardens. Bondi Cottage Resort Specials & Packages Winter TRY SNOWSHOES package Winter "Try Snowshoes" package. Book a mid week two night stay and your third night is only a dollar, plus we provide free use of snowshoes for any one day of your stay. We have extensive areas to explore and 16 km of groomed trails, all included with your comfortable housekeeping cottage! Couples Packages If you want a quiet retreat from the city, we offer a "couples" rate of $120.00 per cottage per night in our off season. This is available during all midweeks for the rest of the winter except March Break. You must stay at least two nights, and use only one bedroom of the cottage. We close for April, but the same offer is available for May and most of June so call us for details and dates. We usually have good snow conditions for skiing from Dec 20 to about Mar. 20 Winter and Spring Packages Book a two night mid week or weekend and get a third night for only one dollar. Our PACKAGE DEAL includes all the usual services at BONDI plus you get a free car pass to Algonquin Park. Available through June 15 with the exception of major holidays such as March break.
