Briarwood Inn

Briarwood Inn is an award winning heritage home built in 1911 from the profits of the Island silver fox breeding industry. It was purchased by the Inman's in 1994 and moved to its present location. Briarwood has been lovingly restored to its original state and has earned the Inman's an architectural preservation award.

The design of Briarwood Inn is a curious mixture of elements from Queen Anne revival and late Victorian building styles. The Inn consists of three stories, and is finished throughout with hardwood floors, doors and trim. The front entrance, stairwell and landing are all paneled using birds eye maple fitted with wooden pegs.

The Inn has large bright rooms with double beds, period furniture and expansive windows that provide a panoramic view of the beautiful Dock River.

Briarwood offers a quiet peaceful retreat, whether sitting on the screened in veranda enjoying the view, or sitting in the parlour reading. There are old books and pictures throughout that contribute to the charm of the Inn.

Check in at 3:00 pm, out at 11:00 am.

We offer our guests a smoke-free environment.
