A safe, sandy, shallow swimming beach with raft and dock, plus a wide range of activities to cater for all ages and tastes, make Algonquin Woods a vacation paradise for all. From badminton and volleyball to shuffleboard, horseshoes and table tennis, a large children's playground adjacent to the lake, plus a communal firepit right on the water's edge, we have something for everyone Water craft onsite includes paddle boats, canoe, kayak, row boats, surf bikes and motor boats. Our 10 quaint, cozy, immaculately clean cottages are situated lakeside with magnificent views of the water. They have all of the comforts of home including queen sized beds with comforters, pillows and blankets supplied, full stoves, microwaves and coffee makers, as well as all the kitchenware you would require. Each cottage also has a barbecue with gas provided, a picnic table and Muskoka chairs. Weekly activities include our very popular kids scavenger hunt and a family camp fire roast with hotdogs and marshmallows provided. Swimming & Water Fun Swimming in Clear Lake is a truly memorable experience as the water is indeed crystal clear. Algonquin Woods is situated on a quiet bay away from passing boat traffic. Our beach has been described as “one of the best in Muskoka” with the perfect combination of crystal clear water (the lake is spring fed), north facing (so we get the late afternoon sun!) and a clean sandy bottom. Smallmouth Bass are frequent catches as well as Rainbow Trout. During the summer months, we sell worms and ice for your convenience. Campfire Our campfire is situated right on the beach.
