Logging Chain Lodge is a pleasant 3 hour drive from Toronto over excellent highways.
From Toronto - take Highways 400 and 11 to Highway 60 just North of Huntsville. Turn east on Highway 60 to Ottawa for 20 km (12 miles) to Dwight and Logging Chain Lodge.
From Montreal - and the Ottawa District follow Highway 17 to Renfrew, then Highway 60 through Algonquin Park to Dwight.

Our Housekeeping Cottages are on beautiful Lake of Bays - Muskoka's second largest lake. Close to Huntsville & Algonquin Park.
Let our 3rd generation of owners/operators welcome you to Muskoka.
Our 7 self-catering cottage units are fully equipped and feature automatic electric heating in each room. A four piece bathroom and wall mounted hairdryer are standard equipment in each cottage.
Each cabin has a fully-equipped kitchen with a full size electric stove and oven, refrigerator, ample cupboard space, coffee maker, cooking utensils, dishes, cutlery, toaster and microwave.
Bedrooms are comfortable and have double beds, single beds or bunk beds.
Living rooms feature pine paneling with a natural satin finish and a large picture window overlooking the Lake of Bays.
Special Note OUR COTTAGES ARE NON-SMOKING Bed linens, pillows, blankets and kitchen tea towel/wash cloth are provided. Bath and beach towels are not provided.
All Rates are in Canadian Dollars and are subject to 5% Provincial Sales Tax and 7% Goods and Services Tax. Rates are subject to change without notice (E & OE). Please contact us for availability.
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m., check-out time is 10:00 a.m.
All rates are per cottage, NOT per person. Overcrowding is not permitted.
Cottages are Non-Smoking for the enjoyment of our guests.
No pets of any kind are allowed in the cottages or on the resort property. Pet Boarding is available nearby at Happy Tails
We accept cash, personal and travelers cheques, money orders, Visa and MasterCard.
We reserve the right to reject any application or terminate a reservation at any time.
Deposit on Cottage Reservation:
Deposit on Reservation: Summer weekly rentals - $300.00 deposit is required at the time of booking; balance is due 14 days prior to arrival date.
Nightly rentals A guarantee credit card number is required at the time of booking; payment is due upon check-out.
Cottage Cancellation Policy:
Summer weekly cottage rentals Cancellations must be received at least 4 weeks prior to the arrival date in order to receive a full refund minus a $50 cancellation fee. If a reservation cancellation is received with less than 4 weeks notice, the balance of the rental cost will be billed to the credit card on file and no refund will be issued unless the cottage can be re-booked for the full rental period. The $50 cancellation fee will still apply. There will be no exceptions to this policy.
Nightly cottage rentals - Cancellations must be received at least 24 hours prior to the arrival date. A $50 cancellation fee will be billed to the guarantee credit card. If a reservation cancellation is received with less than 24 hours notice or notice of a cancellation has not been received and there is a no show, the equivalent of one nights stay will be billed to the guarantee credit card.

For Your Vacation Enjoyment
Swimming and Sunbathing - 340 feet of gently sloping sand beach on Muskoka's Lake of Bays. Our property is located directly across from Dwight Beach, a very quiet public beach. The lake water is temperate and clear.
Kid's Program - During July and August, children enjoy crafts, treasure hunts and games each week day morning from 9:00 until 10:30. All ages are welcome - and it's free of charge !
Boating and Sailing - With over 160 miles of shoreline, Lake of Bays is one of Ontario's finest waterways for boating and sailing. Canoe rentals available on site and include all safety equipment required. Motor boats and other motorized watercraft are available for rent nearby. A boat ramp is available for those with their own boat. No overnight boat docking is available.

Fishing - Anglers can troll for lake trout or wet a line for bass in one of the many bays on the lake. Fishing rod rentals are available on site and we let you know what fish are in season and where the "hotspots" are in the bay. Remember fishing licenses are required!

Biking - Bike rentals are available on site and can be rented on an hourly or daily basis. Bike locally or on the excellent trails in Algonquin Park, Arrowhead Provincial Park, Hidden Valley Highlands (mountain biking) and Haliburton Highlands Trails and Tours Network.

Entertainment & Dining - Night life, with dancing and entertainment is nearby. The Muskoka Festival of the Arts takes place during July each year and the annual Muskoka Autumn Studio Tour is held in September. Also lacrosse, bowling and a movie theatre are available in Huntsville. Superb guided nature programs, observatory and horseback riding trails are nearby. Enjoy a vast array of restaurants within a short driving distance.
Shopping - Many local stores are within walking distance and Huntsville, the main shopping centre, is just a 15 minute drive from the resort.

Bird Watching and Observatory Muskoka has an abundance of bird species to view and to photograph! Enjoy the spring migration as our feathered friends return for the Summer or capture their departures while experiencing the Autumn/Fall colours. An exceptional deep sky viewing is available at the Echo Valley Observatory. Only a few minutes away, this three storey domed observatory houses a state-of-the-art 40 centimetre Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope which is capable of revealing celestial objects 10,000 times fainter than the faintest objects visible to the naked eye!
